The disabled assisted the disabled and revitalized the arms for 452 disabled people to make artificial limbs

On August 8, the reporter interviewed Wu Zhenxing, a prosthetic technician. Wu Zhenxing, born in 1982, is a prosthetic technician at a medical rehabilitation equipment development company in Jinzhou City. He is less than 1.6 meters tall, with dark skin and a sunny smile. If he hadn't rolled up the leg of his right leg, no one would have known that his right calf was a prosthetic leg. Wu Zhenxing said that when he was working in a coal mine in Hebei Province 10 years ago, his right calf was amputated due to an accident. After the injury, he installed a prosthetic leg. With the help of the Disabled Persons' Federation, Wu Zhenxing, who is physically disabled but strong-willed, studied prosthetic limb production in Beijing. Because of his own profound experience, he understood the prosthetic technician industry more deeply than others. Three years later, he obtained the national registered technician qualification certificate and was later assigned to Jinzhou to become a prosthetic technician.

During his seven years in Jinzhou, Wu Zhenxing made prosthetic limbs for 452 physically disabled people. Wu Zhenxing works with plaster, silicone, and metal joints every day, and his studio always exudes a pungent smell. Making a prosthetic limb requires a series of processes including taking the shape, vacuuming, forming, assembling, training, and then delivering it for use. Before taking the shape, Wu Zhenxing needs to measure and record a number of data on the patient's affected leg to ensure the comfort of wearing the prosthetic limb later. Shaping is a relatively boring process that requires constant polishing and comparison. After the mold is completed, it needs to be assembled with the metal joint, and then the patient who installs the prosthetic limb needs to undergo adaptive training... When completing a prosthetic limb, every step cannot be sloppy, because it is in direct contact with human skin, and even a small amount may cause great inconvenience to the patient. This is the job of a prosthetic technician.
